CASUARINACEAE
Two genera, Casuarina Adans. and Gymnostoma L. Johnson, comprising 65 species of trees and shrubs (often of weeping habit) are found in eastern Africa, the Mascarenes, and from south-eastern Asia to north-eastern Australia and Polynesia. Pollinosis caused by Casuarina has been reported. The pollen is reported to cause pollinosis in Florida (Wodehouse 1971). References |
